Measure before you automate
A baseline is not a formality. Without one, nobody can tell whether a system worked or just looked busy.
Open Source Mind is an AI product and consulting company working with service businesses in the United States and across Latin America. We ship software, deploy it, and stay accountable for what it returns.
Open Source Mind exists because the distance between an impressive AI demo and a working business system is where most budgets die. We closed that distance the only way it closes — by building the software ourselves and then standing behind the deployment.
That produced two halves of the same business. Salee.ai is the product: AI employees handling the calls, chats, qualification and booking that never stop arriving. The consulting practice is the other half: finding the repetitive work behind the front line, pricing it in hours, and rebuilding it with the team that has to live with the result.
We work in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and we adapt to the market rather than translating into it.
Collaboration with the United Nations · Computer science taught via Microsoft TEALS · Two decades operating US businesses
Thirty-plus years of building technology for real businesses — shipping it, breaking it, fixing it. Along the way: collaboration with the United Nations, two decades operating companies in the US, projects and deals past US$1MM, computer science taught through Microsoft’s TEALS program, four published books, and mentoring across seven countries in three languages.
The through-line has always been structure. Find the part that is misaligned, fix that first, and let the results compound.
A baseline is not a formality. Without one, nobody can tell whether a system worked or just looked busy.
We build with your team inside the process. A system nobody internal understands is a liability with a subscription.
Plain language about what a tool does, what it costs, and what it will not do. The last part matters most.
Engagements end with the same measurement re-run. Recovered hours and returned dollars, or the work is not finished.
Book a working session and leave with a mapped workflow, an estimated hour cost, and a clear call on whether AI should touch it at all.
